University on Sinai Peninsula, Egypt

Project unveiled

Thomas Pucher presented the concept for a new University in Ismailia, Egypt. The project consists of a university campus for 5.000 students plus accomodation for 10.000 people. The campus and the city are designed as cero carbon entities and are embedded into a farm which follows state of the art agro forestry.

SPAR Graz

Design for EUROSPAR in the centre of Graz unveiled

Thomas Pucher presented the design for the new EUROSPAR market in the basement of Kastner und Öhler department store. The market shall become Styrias leading store in this building which is due to undergo a total reorganization by Spanish architects Nieto Sobejano.

Zentralschule Amstetten

1st prize at international competition in Austria / green building

Atelier Thomas Pucher has won 1st prize in the open international competition for a central school complex in Amstetten, Austria. The building will be rated "green-building" according to the green building code of Lower Austria. Start of construction will be early 2011.

Yeosu Expo

Honourable Mention at international competition for EXPO 2012 in Yeosu, South Korea

 
We merged the organisation of a building with the conditions of water - to form a giant waterfall in the sea. The waterfall is energized by the power of the ocean and the sun. It forms a single eco system and needs no additional supply - The worlds first self sustainable waterfall.

1st prize - Masterplan for new City Centre in Graz, Austria

Atelier Thomas Pucher and Bramberger [architects] have won the interview based competition for designing the Masterplan of the Reininghaus Site in Graz. The former industrial area with a size of 55hect. shall become the missing heart of the whole western part of the city.

Atelier Thomas Pucher in cooperation with bramberger [architects] wins invited competition for the new Saubermacher headquarter in Graz, Austria. The jury was impressed by the functional clarity and inviting atmosphere. The building should be finished in October 2010.

Tartu Art Factory

1st prize at invited competition in Tartu, Estonia
Atelier Thomas Pucher has won its second major competition in Tartu, Estonia. The Art Factory development is housed on the site of a former brewery-plant. On a gross floor area of 26.000m² a multi-functional development comprising galleries, offices, shopping facilities and apartments shall be designed until 2012. Large emphasizing has been laid on the soft yet intensive combination of all different utilizations.

Organization Of Islamic Conference

Approval of Schematic Design
12design&engineering has been officially approved the Schematic Design for the OIC Headquarter in Jeddah, KSA. The design has been delivered 4 weeks earlier than scheduled. Building Start is now expected in September 2009.

Welcome Tower

60´s redesign at Central Station, Graz
Atelier Thomas Pucher & Bramberger architects have signed the contract to redesign a 60´s office building at the central station of Graz. The 12.000m² building will also be the new home for our own office up from June 2008. One highlight of the building will be a bar with an outdoor pool on the rooftop.

1st prize at invited competition in Graz
Atelier Thomas Pucher & Bramberger architects won first prize in the competition for an office building in the centre of Graz. The project is situated at an urbanistically important site where it seeks to transform an unclear urban situation into a precise setting for the next decades. Realisation is planed within 2008.

2nd prize at invited Competition
The joint venture between Atelier Thomas Pucher and Zuhair Fayez Partnership in the invited competition for the New Municipality Building in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia attained us a second prize. 25 participants have been invited for the 75.000m² building.

O.I.C. Headquarter, Jeddah

Agreement on General Planning
We are proud to announce that O.I.C. Secretery-General, H.E. Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, the Ministry of Finance of Saudi Arabia and Atelier Thomas Pucher & Bramberger architects have reached an agreement on the general planning of the new headquarter. Our team will be accompanied by the Saudi Arabian consultant firm Zuhair Fayez Partnership.

Honourable Mention for Atelier Thomas Pucher in South Korea
Atelier Thomas Pucher has reiceived a honourable mention in the competition for the first district of the New Administrative Multifunctional City (MACC). The project presents an impressive vision of how to combine city and nature to the maximum extend. However the Korean developers decided not to go for such a positiv future and selected a more commonplace project for the first prize.

Atelier Thomas Pucher designed the new Fashion Outlet for Alexander Wolfensson, the Graz based luxury fashion salesman. The shop combines the latest trends in shop design in finding the perfect mixture between luxury, low budget and openness.

Tartu Rebase Street

1st prize at invited competition in Tartu, Estonia
Atelier Thomas Pucher & Bramberger architects have won the invited competition for the Tartu Rebase Street housing development. 9 towers with 444 appartments on a gross floor area of nearly 30.000m² shall be developed on a prestigeous site in Estonias second largest city. The aim of the project is to provide each appartment the splendour of a single villa and combine this with a sophisticated ecological energy system.
Building starts in january 2007.

Organisation of the Islamic Conference

1st prize at international competition, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Atelier Thomas Pucher has won the international competition for the new headquarter of the O.I.C. in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The prize was awarded in a magnificent ceremony on May,15th in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The project is composed of a 160m tower in a dune-like garden. The building should be finished as soon as possible...

Atelier Thomas Pucher and developer Terra Projekt AG sign contract for the development of a large scale shopping center in the city of Judenburg, Austria. The project aims to act as a generator for the redevelopment of the angient inner city.

Among 109 entries Atelier Thomas Pucher wins 3rd prize at the international competition for the new Estonian National Museum in Tartu, Estonia. The award winning ceremony will take place on Jan.16th, 2006 in Tartu.
